The Event
Belle Epoque Lake Como is an event that aims to bring together enthusiasts of the historical periods between the end of the 19th century and the 1950s.
The “Bell’Èpoque” as we familiarly call it, is a gathering of historic two, three or four-wheeled vehicles that also aspires to attract clothing and style enthusiasts.
We are well aware that the name “Belle Èpoque” is historically inaccurate but we think it conveys quite well the idea underlying the event. A day dedicated to the style of old times by, slow living and elegance in motion.
While paying due attention to the heart of the event which remains the historic vehicles, from those that have passed through the decades and emerged miraculously preserved to those wonderfully restored, we want to add the clothing of drivers and passengers which must be consistent with the age of the vehicle and as original as possible.
We want to give the owners of ancient, delicate vehicles, which are often not brought out because they can hardly coexist with more modern and high-performance vehicles, the opportunity to be exclusive protagonists for a day with their charm, their history and their hassles.
This event aims to overcome the concept of “competition” and the resulting competitiveness to create an event where both participants and spectators can enjoy living a day in the past.
